Figures come from Gryd's Freedom of Information returns to UK local authorities for 2025 and 2026. Each council was asked for total council-owned homes, homes with rooftop solar, and homes rated EPC D or worse.
Authorities that transferred their stock to housing associations or ALMOs may report low or zero figures. EPC coverage varies; some councils only hold ratings for a sub-set of their stock.
Region and country totals are summed from raw counts in the returns above. The Northern Ireland Housing Executive return is treated as the single NI rollup. Boundaries: .
